Harvest

Matt picking the SunSweet tomatoes. There are many & also well hidden behind leaves. So far, these two plants have out-produced the other tomatoes.

Can you say BLT!

Mostly Pimento de Pardon and wax peppers. Hot peppers need more time to cook (rippen). BTW, the secret to hot peppers is not to water too much.

Harvest

The large guy is suppose to be much bigger & purple. Purple Banana Squash is a winter squash. I found out later that they get picked when the stem starts to dry up. They are suppose to be 4X larger than shown here.

Harvest Time

Pick the zucchini small!!!!!!!. What Graeme & I picked today. The Cucumbers are excellent this year. A few are being eatin by a JackRabbit. The SunGold and SunSweet tomatoes are producing, SunSweet seems to have a much higher yield. SunSweet tastes better in my opinion. SunSweet is sweet, SunGold is not as sweet with more acid - maybe better in a greek salad.
Artichokes are coming through!
There are even beans - a few on the bottom row....none ready to pick yet.

Graeme in Zuke land. Actually, he is standing next to a squash with an emense vine and many flowers.
Last Friday's pick!

Allyson is watering the Roma tomato plant.
Watering can take awhile. It takes my 45minutes if I am watering everything 'deeply'. Why it is nice to have my garden team! Anyway, someone has to keep an eye on thoses zucchinis!

Me, Doug, gardener, engineering physicist. what? Anyway, I guess I tend to dwarf anything around me. My trusty shovel - I am not apt to break this one. Wood-handle shovels suffer under my weight.

Same shot as in May of these tomatoes & Allyson. Lots of green ones & a few yellow ones to eat. It has been a cool June, otherwise this plant would be as tall as Allyson!
Way behind in this blog & photos/photo editing. Summer schedule can be quite busy. Camera 2 has many more photos. Having found a (free) photoalbum photo editing software that I like so far.
