Squirrels & Misc

Blue Heron just outside garden. These guys will eat squirrels. The two of them are hanging out around the ground squirrel holes. Second time I've seen them out there.
We set out a live trap & a gopher trap. Over the one week, we caught three squirrels, two rats (brown & large), and two gophers. Wonder why we have anything still growing! The live-trap catches were let go far away from the garden. The gopher noise-maker stakes don't work!
Onions from Milpitas garden. They need to sit out to 'cure'. We can never have too many onions in our house! Libby & Ben love them. They are full of vitamins. We will start a batch at SSRL in the fall.

Yes Graeme, Allyson & Erik did plant Cilantro there! There have been a few sprouts. The spinach in LC has sprouted.

Some sucullents flowering in a pot at my house. Sorry, not related to the garden club. I though it was a nice shot.
Some of the peppers & tomatoes are taking off. About 1/3 of the peppers are getting bushy which is good for preventing pepper sun-burn. The sun-gold tomatoes were first to set.
There is one zucchini ready to pick in Allyson's plot. Graeme's zucchini in LC has one too, but it looks like the plant got transplant shock.
