Libby planting Merigolds
Excellent photo by Libby
Went Saturday & Monday mornings as an activity with Libby & Yan.
Libby took some photos which will be posted once the images are processed.
We have a few tomatoes on the SunGold plant. One difficulty is that Rob put up a fence to protect the blueberries from birds, but it is shading the tomato!
The second row of beans sprouted earlier this week). Allyson & Erik planted Cilantro by the Eggplants on Wednesday. Cindy & I got the second trellis up Thursday.
There are a few more zukes sprouting!
Late last week, Erik planted corn (5 in all). There is still more space for plants! Maybe some chard?
So, this weekend:
Planted spinach in LC in remaining area. Weeded all the trees. Actually looks good now. The trees still needed more water, so we gave them a really good soak. Libby found only one Cherry! At least it was a nice one. Most of the rose bush was trimmed back. Merigolds were planted by the Zukes to attract good bugs that might eat the green-strip beattle on Graeme's squash plant.
The peppers haven't changed much as well as some tomatoes. We really need warm nights! It has been out-right chilly in the evening.
I'll error on posting & come back later for edits.
